The CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) provides funding to institutions for emergency financial aid grants to students whose lives have been disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.

December 2020 Commencement Plans

Commencement ceremonies at Coastal Carolina University will be in person this December. There will be ceremonies for Fall 2020 graduates and there will also be a ceremony for Spring and Summer 2020 graduates to walk across the stage. Commencement exercises will be in Brooks Stadium to create a safer environment and allow graduates to invite family and friends for the occasion. Precautions will be in place to reduce risk during the pandemic.

ChantSafe is a website that brings together resources that CCU provides for a wide variety of crisis situations.

Responding to student comments, Coastal Carolina University has established the ChantSafe program. That consists of a website, which brings together all of the resources available whenever students, or anyone else on campus, encounter safety issues. Students were involved in the development of the website, which is optimized for mobile use. It is being rolled out at the beginning of the fall 2019 semester.
