The CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) provides funding to institutions for emergency financial aid grants to students whose lives have been disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.

New Look Orientation

Orientation for new incoming students at Coastal Carolina University is different this summer. Because of the pandemic, activities are still being redirected away from campus. That means the majority of New Student Orientation is being carried out virtually. Students and their families will, however, get all the information they need to transition effectively to life on campus this fall.

ChantSafe is a website that brings together resources that CCU provides for a wide variety of crisis situations.

Responding to student comments, Coastal Carolina University has established the ChantSafe program. That consists of a website, which brings together all of the resources available whenever students, or anyone else on campus, encounter safety issues. Students were involved in the development of the website, which is optimized for mobile use. It is being rolled out at the beginning of the fall 2019 semester.
