Coastal Carolina University Mail Services is committed to providing a variety of postal services for the Coastal Carolina University community and for the general public, including delivery of interoffice and U.S. Postal Service mail, bulk mailings, package and courier service, postage metering, and passport processing (see below).
Mail Services operates under CCU's Office of Contractual and Business Services. The staff includes the director, postal supervisor, postal specialists, mail clerks and student workers – all dedicated to providing excellent service and consultation to all customers.
Mail Services personnel are trained, experienced and conversant with various mailing requirements and regulations. The staff is alert to all changes in mail rates and continuously reviews the various classes of mail sent from the University to ensure that the lowest rates are used and that all possible savings are achieved for the University.
Mail Services is a passport acceptance facility
The U.S. Department of State has approved CCU as a passport acceptance facility for students, faculty and staff, and the general public.
Mail Services accepts passport paperwork by appointment only. Passport acceptance hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. To make an appointment or for more information, please call 843-349-2156.
Our mission
The mission of Coastal Carolina University Mail Services is to provide a professional and efficient mail service to the university community using existing and emerging technology. We are responsible for the delivery, collection and processing of all interoffice and U.S. Postal Service mail to all university administrative offices, and mail service to all students who live in University Housing. We also provide shipping and mailing services to the general public.
