Educational background: University of Mary Washington, bachelor's degree in International Affairs
Hometown: Roanoke, Va.
Professional experience: I’ve worked at CCU since 2012. I've worked in various departments such as Human Resources and Equal Opportunity, the Department of Computing Sciences, the Office of the Provost, the Academic Resource Center, and the Division of Student Success, Enrollment Management, and Student Affairs.
Hobbies/interests: I’m a closet nerd. I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter, and I like to let off stress by playing video games and board games.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? I love to travel, but haven’t been able to see nearly as much of the word as I’d like. I’d love to take a long, ambling trip through Europe someday, and visit everything from Ireland to Greece to Poland (where my husband’s family is from), and everything in between!
Best concert you’ve ever attended or favorite movie or sports team? The best concert I’ve ever been to was a Foo Fighters/Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in 2000, because that’s where I met my husband!
What do you like most about working at CCU? I really enjoy being a source of information and assistance to my colleagues and to students. When I can solve a problem for someone without having to direct them to another office, seeing the gratitude on their face is a great reward.
