Biography
Dr. Elizabeth Muckensturm is an Ohio native but has lived in the area on and off for many years. She graduated from Clemson with an MA in Communication, Technology, and Society with an emphasis in Tourism Marketing. She received her undergraduate degree from Ohio University in Organizational Communication. In 2022, Elizabeth completed her doctorate degree at North Carolina State University in Adult and Community College Education. Her career started at Sands Resorts in Myrtle Beach where she was the Director of Recreation and then the Digital and Traditional Marketing Director. She has worked as a freelance writer (mostly tech/marketing blogs) and social media strategist for individual clients and for a content strategy company based out of Greenville, SC. Additionally, she is passionate about helping others develop their speaking and leadership skills through Toastmasters and one-on-one coaching. She has coached a wide range of people including high school students, business owners, and prisoners. Elizabeth is an Airbnb Superhost and has worked with Airbnb as a Superhost Ambassador mentoring new hosts through live webinars. She enjoys studying social media and how it is used to communicate. She also loves to travel and experience different cultures.
