Dr. Kyle J. Hołody's (he|him|his) research interests include: media effects, controversial and complicated health topics (e.g., mass shootings, physician-assisted suicide, and abortion), body image, health risk behaviors (including alcohol and drug abuse), and political communication. Specifically, Dr. Holody examines how these topics are presented and understood by news media and the public. Dr. Holody is originally from Roanoke, Virginia and now lives in Myrtle Beach with his wife, Lesley Holody.
