Biography
Philip Whalen lives and works in Conway, South Carolina. He specializes in Twentieth-Century Europe. His research examines tourism, gastronomy, and festivals as vectors of regional economic restructuring, cultural identity, and local heritage production. He teaches classes on the French Revolution, The Great War, Interwar Europe, Twentieth Century Europe, the Holocaust, Patterns in World History, and Modern France.
