Biography
Sarah Abushakra is a pianist, teacher and choral director living in Myrtle Beach, SC. She instructs applied piano lessons, class piano, and piano pedagogy courses for CCU and is active with the Music Teachers’ National Association (MTNA) at the Local, State and National level. She enjoys helping students discover their strengths, tap into their creativity and achieve their various musical goals. In addition to her academic work, she enjoys teaching piano independently and serving as Director of Music/Organist at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Conway, SC. Mrs. Abushakra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Coastal Carolina University and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Georgia. She has studied with Ruth Lowder, Philip Powell and Martha Thomas (piano), Pete Jutras (pedagogy) and Roberta Rowland-Raybold (organ).
