The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) has confirmed the extended accreditation for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, and Master of Accountancy degree programs for the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University.

AACSB accreditation is known worldwide as the longest standing, most recognized form of specialized accreditation that an institution and its business programs can earn. Schools that have earned AACSB business accreditation demonstrate an ongoing commitment to excellence in teaching, research, curriculum development, and learner success. Less than 6% of the world's schools offering business degree programs hold AACSB business accreditation.

“In the Wall College of Business, it is our mission to prepare students to be successful in a globally competitive and diverse environment,” said Erika Small, dean of the Wall College of Business. “We do this by offering a relevant curriculum delivered by exceptional faculty in an applied way. The extension of our AACSB accreditation recognizes our continued focus on excellence in pursuing this mission.”

“AACSB congratulates each institution on their achievement,” said Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB. “Every AACSB-accredited school has demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curricula development, and student learning. The intense peer-review process exemplifies their commitment to quality business education.”

These standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation; student, faculty, and staff as active participants; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement. Once accreditation is achieved, each institution participates in a five-year continuous improvement peer review to maintain high quality and extend its accreditation.

“The review process is a rigorous one, and I am very proud of the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, students, and community supporters whose hard work and dedication have contributed to our quality programs and impressive outcomes,” said Small.

The Wall College of Business offers six majors, eight minors, and graduate and accelerated degree programs. The college offers hands-on learning experiences outside of the classroom; clubs and organizations that will help mold students into top business professionals; leadership opportunities; exciting internship possibilities; career development; state-of-the-art facilities and software; and nationally recognized faculty who are award-winning researchers and leading business professionals in their fields.
