HEALTH SCIENCES PROGRAM


The Student Experience

The mission of the health sciences program is to provide students with a strong academic foundation for careers in a wide range of health care professions. The program seeks to provide students with an accessible curriculum that aligns with student goals and professional aspirations.

In the classroom, you will study topics such as:
  • Health sciences - anatomy, physiology, chemistry, psychology, pathophysiology, and disease.
  • Health care system - leadership, organizational change, health law, and compliance.
  • Healthcare management - data management, health care trends, and health data analytics.
  • Targeted courses or minors in health-related areas - exercise science, public health, biology, chemistry, and communication.
Beyond the classroom, you will engage in experiences such as:
  • Professional development activities to prepare for graduate study or career development.
  • Selected clinical experiences to develop clinical skills and credentials.
  • Hands on exploration of career options and pathways.
  • Activities and leadership in a variety of health science student clubs and organizations.
