Photo of David BetschDavid Betsch joined University Housing at CCU in July 2011. He brings with him experience from five different universities, compiling more than 24 years of housing experience, including his undergraduate years working as a resident assistant. David earned his Bachelor of Arts in elementary education at the University of West Florida and his Master of Education in student personnel services at the University of South Carolina. David and his Resident Success Team are dedicated to creating a living and learning environment that is supportive of our residents’ academic pursuits.

Rachael Baker image

Rachael Baker is excited to provide her leadership at CCU in a different way as Associate Director for Resident Success after being both the Ingle Hall Community Coordinator and Assistant Director for Township Circle. Originally from Wisconsin, she graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2008 with a Master of Science in student personnel administration. Rachael earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin at Parkside in criminal justice as well as a paralegal certification from Carthage College in 2004. Rachael has worked as a residence hall director at the University of Wisconsin at Parkside, Savannah College of Art and Design, and St. Norbert College as well as served as a program coordinator and adviser for grant programs in the state of Wisconsin. Rachael is excited to share her passion as it pertains to the transition for first-year students at Coastal Carolina University.

Chanticleer and Tradition Halls

Blake GrahamBlake Graham joined the Resident Success Team in September, 2022 as the Community Coordinator for Chanticleer Hall. Blake is an alumnus and former financial aid counselor is excited to join the CCU University Housing Department. As a SC native, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a focus in Public Relations, a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a Masters in Liberal Studies. Blake has also worked with the Bridge and CEaL programs during his undergraduate and graduate years at Coastal. Some of his hobbies are writing and singing. He is thrilled to be a part of the Housing Department and looks forward to a great time in this position.

Bri Glenn joined Coastal Carolina University in July 2020 as the Community Coordinator of Pat Singleton-Young Hall. She was born and raised in Martinsville, VA. Bri attended Radford University, in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, where she earned her bachelor's in education. After her earning her undergraduate degree, she spent one year working at Wingate University before earning a Master’s in Higher Education Leadership from Valdosta State University. Bri is excited to return to the Carolinas and be a part of Teal Nation.

Caitlyn BolducCaitlyn Bolduc joined Coastal Carolina University in August, 2022 as the Assistant Director for Resident Success, Elvington Loop. Originally from New Jersey, she graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Management and then from Montclair State University with a Master's of Business Administration. Caitlyn worked as a Resident Director at Bloomfield College and a Community Coordinator at the University of Mississippi before joining the Resident Success Team. She is very excited to get to work with our Teal Nation!

Eaglin Hall, the Gardens and Four Points

Rob LeibelRob Leibel (he/him/his) recently joined Coastal Carolina University in March 2022 as the Community Coordinator of Eaglin Hall. Rob received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the West Virginia University Institute of Technology and a M.A. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Random things about Rob: beginner at ukulele, enjoy hiking, enjoys listening to music, hates awkward silence, loves spicy wings, avid video gamer, and enjoys spending time with family & friends when he can! His inspiration is to help students build a foundation for success while in college and the rest of their lives through having a drive to be a life-long learner and form genuine, collaborative relationships with the students he works with. Rob is beyond excited to be back in the Carolinas and a part of Teal Nation!

The Woods and Ingle Hall

Wesley Williams rejoined Coastal Carolina University in October 2020 as the Community Coordinator of the Woods. He was born and raised in Hemingway, SC. Wes attended CCU as undergrad and completed a degree in Business Administration, and he then went on to complete his Master of Education at DeSales University in Allentown, PA. Wes enjoys gaming, sports, music, and competition. He is excited to be back in Teal Nation once again and working with first-year students!

Blue Ridge and Piedmont

Denessa SmallsDenessa Smalls is excited to share her 20 years of counseling and human services experience as the Community Coordinator for Piedmont. Originally from Charleston, SC, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at Savannah State University located in Savannah, GA and her Masters of Education in Counseling at Cambridge College located in Cambridge, MA. Denessa is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Denessa has worked as a Residence Hall Director for the past 7 years at Hampton University in Hampton, VA and at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Some of her hobbies are crocheting and collecting Disney Princess Tiana dolls. She is excited to return to South Carolina and to share her passion of creating an educational and living space for our future leaders.

Robyn Svercauski returned to CCU in May, 2021 as the Housing Services Coordinator. Robyn is originally from Bayonne, NJ and is a 2017 graduate of Coastal Carolina University, earning her degree in Public Health. After graduating from Coastal, Robyn went back to New Jersey and received her Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Saint Peter's University where she also served as a Community Director for two and a half years. Robyn enjoys Disney, board games, and crafting! Robyn is excited to be back in Conway serving the residents of #TealNation!

Tyler Ward Assistant Director and Sandhills

Tyler Ward joined Coastal Carolina University in April 2021, as the Assistant Director for Resident Success for University Place. Originally from Pennsylvania, he graduated from Marywood University with a Master of Science in higher education administration and a Bachelor of Science from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in elementary education. Tyler brings with him twelve years of housing experience, most recently serving as the Director of Housing and Residence Life at Marywood University. He is excited to join the Resident Success Team and Teal Nation!

Sara BaileySara Bailey joined Teal Nation in January 2021 as the Assistant Director for Resident Success, Elvington Loop and has transitioned to the Assistant Director for Housing Services. She has over 15 years of Student Affairs experience with the majority of those years in Housing and Residence Life. She has previously worked as the Director of Orientation and First-Year Experience at Beacon College, the Assistant Director for Residence Education at Georgia Southern University, and a Resident Director (Community Coordinator) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Arkansas State University, and Murray State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts-Honors degree in Organizational Communication at Murray State University and her Master of Science degree in College Student Personnel Services at Arkansas State University. Sara enjoys working with first-year students and teaching first-year experience courses. She is excited to join the Resident Success team and Teal Nation!
