Academic and Community Outreach

Extending Coastal's excellence to students at every stage of education

The Office of Academic and Community Outreach serves the University through the coordination of programs designed to increase access to "learning for a lifetime." We draw upon the expertise of experienced community members and Coastal Carolina University faculty to offer innovative and comprehensive programming for all ages.

Outreach Programs

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI@CCU) seeks to provide opportunities for adult, noncredit students to achieve intellectual stimulation as well as cultural and social growth. In addition to offering dedicated OLLI classes each semester, OLLI@CCU sponsors clubs, lecture series, and excursions.

Coastal Carolina Kids Camps have been offered each summer for children ages six to ten. Coastal Carolina Kids Camps were cancelled in the summer of 2020 due to Covid-19, and they will be cancelled for the summer of 2021 as well due to Covid-19. We hope to restart these camps in the summer of 2022!

Continuing Education offers area businesses, civic organizations, non-profits, and other community groups the opportunity to request specially designed workshops, classes, or seminars geared toward their particular needs.
