Office of the Provost

Welcome to the Office of the Provost at Coastal Carolina University.

Daniel Ennis, Dean/VP for Academic Outreach

As Provost and Executive Vice-President of Academic Affairs, my primary responsibility is to ensure the quality of the academic experience for all of CCU’s students in order to uphold the University’s stated mission “to develop students who are both knowledgeable in their chosen fields and prepared to be productive, responsible, healthy citizens with a global perspective.”

The Office of the Provost and its staff is charged with working with the colleges and the contributing areas of Academic Affairs to develop and support policies and programs to fulfill the University’s mission that are in line with Coastal Carolina University’s values of truth, respect, integrity, and excellence.

Daniel J. Ennis, Ph.D.
Provost/Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs

"Because of our coastal location, this institution has developed special expertise in the ways land, water, and people interact when in direct contact. Our community formed and remains along the waters. Our local economy depends upon the beach. Our future lies in solutions that will allow us to coexist in a region that demands sustainable strategies and humane wisdom.

Given where we are and who we are, our research has high stakes - and high hopes. I'm proud to share it with you."
-- Daniel J. Ennis, Provost
