Marvin is an Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology in the Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences. Marvin earned a Ph.D. in Educational Studies specializing in learning technologies and educational psychology, an interdisciplinary specialization in Quantitative Research Methods, and a Master in Learning Technologies from The Ohio State University (OSU). Before OSU, Dr. Evans completed an MSc and BEd in Computer Science, and taught mathematics and computer science to grades 7-13. Currently, he serves as an External Examiner for Computer Science with the Caribbean Examination Council, and he is CCU's representative on the new SC AI K-12 panel. His research interests include classroom technology integration, instructional design, teacher professional and curriculum development, computer science education, online learning, and teacher training, especially in underserved contexts and environments. When not teaching, Dr Evans is seeking the next place to travel and explore new areas and spaces.
