Biography

Matthew Hassett was born and raised in Lowell MA. and studied Communications at Syracuse University.  He moved to Wilmington NC after graduation from SU and worked in radio for ten years.  After reading a book about the Corps of Discovery he was inspired to return to school and teach history.  He received his BA and MA at UNCW and has been teaching at Coastal since 2010.
