Biography

Teresa Keith began working at Coastal Carolina University in June 2018. Keith completed her Bachelor of Science in sociology-psychology at Francis Marion University (1995) in Florence, S.C. She then earned a dual Master of Arts degree in human resources development and management-leadership from Webster University (2009 and 2010) Metro in Myrtle Beach.

Keith has acquired more than 15 years of work experience in the higher education sector. Prior to her employment at CCU, she worked in the Office of International Education as a study abroad advisor with American InterContinental University's (London-Dubai campus) main office in Atlanta. Several years later, she joined the Office of Admissions with DeVry University as an admission advisor at the main office in Decatur, Ga. After moving back to Myrtle Beach in 2009, she worked for Miller-Motte Technical College as a full-time instructor.

The academic majors Keith advises are psychology and marine science. As an advisor, she enjoys working with the students toward the achievement of their goals. She encourages students to “explore their passions” within their career choices. "My best advice is to embrace learning, for it is a lifelong venture, so let’s learn along the way.”
