Keshav Jagannathan, Ph.D., has been at Coastal Carolina University since 2005. His area of research is in mathematical statistics, specifically in non-gaussian distributions. Jagannathan has also served as Faculty Senate chair from 2011 to 2013. He earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Loyola College in Chennai, India, in 1997, a Master of Arts in statistics from Bowling Green State University in 1999, and a Ph.D. in mathematics with a specialization in statistics in 2005. 

Besides his interest in statistics, he is an amateur photographer, an avid golfer, and enjoys listening to music and reading books. He maintains a single-digit handicap and lives in Conway with three pets.
