Bridge Program Requirements

Participants will have the fall and spring semesters to earn 21 university transfer credit hours with a minimum 2.25 GPA:

  • By the end of Fall semester, students must earn a minimum of 6 transferable credit hours and achieve 2.0 GPA in order to remain in the Bridge Program. Students not meeting these requirements may be ineligible to remain in the Bridge Program and campus housing after the Fall semester.
  • By the end of Spring semester, students must earn a minimum of 21 transferable credit hours and achieve a 2.25 GPA from HGTC in order to successfully transfer over to CCU for Fall. Students earning a minimum of 21 transferable credit hours and achieve at least a 3.0 GPA from HGTC, may be eligible for a scholarship once enrolled full-time at Coastal Carolina University.

Those students that meet the minimum requirements after completing the fall and spring semester will transfer to CCU the following fall. If a participant is unable to meet the requirements as outlined above, they will be encouraged to continue at HGTC (without CCU housing privileges) or at their local technical/community college and apply for admission to CCU at a later date.
