Housing FAQs

ARE STUDENTS REQUIRED TO LIVE IN CAMPUS HOUSING IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BRIDGE PROGRAM?

YES! Unless you are living with a parent/legal guardian within 50 miles of CCU and that is the address on file with the Office of Admissions, you are required to live on campus. There are many benefits to living on campus: you are closer to the action, getting to classes is easy, and meals are prepared for you.

I’M LOCAL, DO I HAVE TO LIVE ON CAMPUS?

All Bridge students are required to live on campus, unless you are living with a parent/legal guardian within 50 miles of CCU and that is the address on file with the Office of Admissions.

DO I HAVE TO LIVE AND ROOM WITH OTHER BRIDGE STUDENTS?

We recommend Bridge students room together based on their similar class schedules at HGTC; however, they are not required to live together. When selecting your roommate during the housing application, you will have access to other Bridge students as well as CCU students in order to contact them. If you have questions, contact University Housing at (843) 349-6400.

Because Bridge students all take courses together at HGTC, have similar schedules and participate in programming specifically designed for them, we have found it works best when they do room together and share experiences.

I AM HAVING TROUBLE APPLYING FOR HOUSING AND MY MEAL PLAN, WHAT DO I DO?

Reach out to University Housing at (843) 349-6400.

WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO SELECT MY ROOM?

You will be able to select your room at MyCoastalHome in mid-June. The timeline for room selection is available at University Housing.

WHEN DO BRIDGE STUDENTS MOVE TO CAMPUS?

  • The move-in date will be prior to the start of Fall 2023 classes at HGTC on Thursday, August 17th. Once the move-in date is confirmed, you will be notified. On the move-in day, Bridge students first go to the HGTC campus and check-in at Cafe 1100.
  • After completing the check in and visit the HGTC Admissions, Student Accounts, Financial Aid and Registrar table, then the CCU CINO Card, Student Health Services and University Housing table, you will receive your room key then begin the move-in process.
