CCU art gallery exhibits works by graduating seniors

Coastal Carolina University graduating seniors in studio art and graphic design will exhibit their final portfolios in the Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery Monday, Dec. 4, through Friday, Dec. 15, with a gallery reception on Thursday, Dec. 14, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. This event, as well as the reception, are free and open to the public.

The exhibit, titled "Portfolios: Senior Exhibition," is the culmination of four years of study and features projects completed during the students' theses. This work from the next generation of artists showcases exploration in techniques, forms and media.

Seniors being featured in this exhibition include Taylor Kranz, from Pasadena, Md.; William Taylor, from Lexington, S.C.; Lolita Adams, from Albany, N.Y.; Monica Herman, from Green Bay, Wis.; Amanda Duncan, from Nashville, Tenn.; Jackie Briggs, from Murrells Inlet, S.C.; Jennifer Flores, from Greenville, S.C.; Napacia James, from Bowie, Md.; Madeline Smalley, from Fredericksburg, Va.; Shawn Doublet, from Conway, S.C.; and Kendall Ray Davis, from Mount Ulla, N.C.

The Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery is dedicated to advancing the education of visual arts and cultivating the production, interpretation, and enjoyment of objects and images in society. The gallery is in Room 129 of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts, located at 133 Chanticleer Drive W. on the main Conway campus. Gallery operating hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
