Made possible through a gift from the Tony and Carrie Grant Fund, the awards celebrate real estate excellence in the residential, commercial, resort/tourism, government/public/nonprofit, and restaurant sectors within Horry and Georgetown counties, South Carolina, and Brunswick County, North Carolina.

THEBlvd is a new complex on North Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach, S.C. "We are very honored to receive this award," said Patrick Marino, a partner with developer Land South MB, LLC. "Bringing THEBlvd to life on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk has been a labor of love. Now complete, we are welcoming new tenants and entertainment to an area that is on the cusp of a major revival, and hope to leave behind a legacy that creates value for the entire community."

"THEBlvd was designed to showcase Myrtle Beach and its beach lifestyle by bringing in great food, entertainment and shopping to one of the nation's most popular family and vacation destinations," said Brian Macho, partner of Land South MB, LLC. "We are thrilled to be recognized by Coastal Carolina University for a development that we believe will help the Myrtle Beach community continue to flourish as a whole new generation discovers the vitality, diversity and charm that the boardwalk has to offer."

Ocean Enclave by Hilton Grand Vacations Club, winner of the resort and tourism award, is currently under construction with expected completion in the second quarter of 2019.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to partner once again with Hilton Grand Vacations on this extraordinary oceanfront resort in Myrtle Beach. We are fortunate to have leadership at the City of Myrtle Beach to encourage development of this scale and quality. We feel Ocean Enclave will welcome new visitors to the City of Myrtle Beach for many years to come," said J. Patrick Lowe, partner at Strand Capital Group, the developer of Ocean Enclave.

Winning the government, public and nonprofit award is the newly renovated Matt Hughes Skate Park, which reopened on Saturday, July 28, in Myrtle Beach. The park is named after a Myrtle Beach teen who died while skateboarding in 1998.
