CCU’s Grant Center for Real Estate and Economics to sponsor FIABCI’s Real Estate Days

June 1, 2021

The Grant Center for Real Estate and Economics at Coastal Carolina University is sponsoring the FIABCI’s Real Estate Days on June 1-3, 2021. CCU has been an academic member of FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation, since 2016.

“We are very excited to strengthen our partnership with FIABCI through our sponsorship of Real Estate Days,” said Robert Salvino, Ph.D., director of the Grant Center. “This program is a great way for our students to engage with members of this leader in international commercial real estate.”

The online program is an opportunity for FIABCI members to network after a year of unprecedented global difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event, titled Digital transformation and the legacy of the global outbreak in real estate, will include presentations, panel discussions, and a workshop. The keynote speaker is Professor Andrew Baum of the University of Oxford. FIABCI will also include its annual Prix d’Excellence award ceremony, and a ceremony to commemorate the transition of the federation’s leadership including the installation of their new world president.

CCU’s sponsorship of Real Estate Days would not be possible without the support of Tony Grant, who is a past world president of FIABCI. He and his wife, Carrie, made a major donation to the University in 2016 to establish the Grant Center for Real Estate and Economics. The center serves students and professionals engaged in all facets of real estate and economics and provides market analysis, study-based scholarships, networking opportunities, internships, and technical study tours of international sites.

“I am delighted that CCU is able to take a further step forward in its well-established partnership with FIABCI,” Grant said. “This will enable students, faculty, and alumni to participate in a global event attended by real estate practitioners from 70 countries in all world regions. Every property sector and professional discipline will be represented in a wide-ranging program.” For more information about Real Estate Days, click here.
