Coastal Carolina University professor Tom Mullikin Sr., is leading the South Carolina 7 expedition for the second straight year. Participants in the expedition start in the mountains of the state and travel to the coast over 30 days. The idea is to draw attention to the challenges facing South Carolina, such as global climate change, and to accentuate the beauty and natural elements of the state. The expedition began in Oconee County. In this video, Mullikin talks about the impact that CCU, its professors, and students have on the natural environment and the work being done to make certain that the state is prepared for whatever comes with climate change.
