We have adopted the standards of APPA; the Leadership in Educational Facilities Authority to make sure we are using systems that hold us accountable for the level of cleanliness we are trying to maintain at our university. Our Quality Assurance Unit conducts regular building inspections to ensure we provide services at Level 2 or better.
Floors and base molding are shiny, bright, and clean with fresh colors. There is no buildup in corners or along walls. All surfaces—vertical and horizontal—are freshly cleaned or polished, free from dust, dirt, marks, streaks, smudges, or fingerprints. Lights and fixtures work well and are clean. Washroom and shower fixtures and tiles gleam and have no odors. There are enough supplies. Trash containers and pencil sharpeners only have daily waste and are clean and odor-free.
