Coastal Carolina University's Lifelong Learning offers photography courses

Coastal Carolina University's Lifelong Learning program will offer a variety of noncredit courses in photography for traditional and digital shutterbugs. The classes will be held on the main campus in Conway and at the Myrtle Beach and Waccamaw Higher Education Centers.

Accomplished professional photographers will offer courses on the basics of traditional photography with a 35mm camera, simple point and shoot photography, and how to take better pictures regardless of camera style. Courses for digital photographers include how to use the camera, simple photo printing, and the intricacies of photo processing using different software from Paint Shop to Adobe Photoshop Elements 3. Additional courses in editing home movies, video production and Web design are also available.

All courses at the Teal Center in University Hall on campus are offered from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Day courses are offered at the Myrtle Beach Higher Education Center in Myrtle Square Mall at 2501 N. Kings Highway. For information, directions or registration at these two locations, call 349-4051.
