Coastal Carolina University's Lifelong Learning program will offer a variety of noncredit computer courses for beginners and advanced users. The classes will be held on the main campus in Conway and at all three Academic Outreach Centers in Myrtle Beach, Waccamaw and Georgetown.

For beginners, there are eight-week introductory courses at all four locations, as well as single-session workshops on specific computer functions, including searching the Internet, sending and receiving e-mail and attachments, guarding against viruses and spyware, maintaining your personal computer, using word processing software, saving your work and finding it again, making flyers with photos, creating mailing lists, automating a Christmas letter, tracking stocks, and buying and selling on eBay.

For more advanced computer users, there are four- to six-week courses in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Windows XP for experienced users, Microsoft Word for Writers, advanced PC maintenance, Windows Movie Maker, Adobe Photoshop, and Web design using Dreamweaver MX (Teal Center) and Microsoft's latest web software Visual Web Developer 2005 Express (Waccamaw).

All courses at the Teal Center in University Hall on campus are offered from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Day and evening courses are offered at the Myrtle Beach Higher Education Center in Myrtle Square Mall at 2501 N.
