Coastal Carolina presents Fall Gospel Concert

October 10, 2007

Coastal Carolina University will present the Fall Gospel Concert on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium, featuring the Coastal Carolina University Gospel Choir. The concert is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.

CCU's Gospel Choir comprises more than 30 students and provides a means for its members to express and showcase their talents and love of gospel music. The choir, established in 1988, has performed around South Carolina as well as the Southeast. Directed by David Manigo, the group placed first in 2005 at the Black Family Expo College Gospel Choir Competition in Florence. The Judah Choir from Conway's House of Prayer will also perform. The Fall Gospel Concert, sponsored by Coastal's Office of Multicultural Student Services, is designed to showcase and celebrate a uniquely American form of musical art.

Tickets for the performance may be picked up from Wheelwright Box Office Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. or prior to the performance. For more information call 349-2502.
