Coastal Carolina wins marketing awards, student ADDYs

Four Coastal Carolina University students won Student ADDY awards for their work.

The ADDYs are presented annually by the Coastal Advertising and Marketing Professionals (CAMP).

Jeremy Alford, a senior art studio major from Conway, received the Best of Show Student ADDY for a poster promoting the student play "Frog & Toad." He also won a gold student ADDY for an ad campaign.

Stephanie Hutto, a senior from Green Cove Springs, Fla., and editor of CCU's student features magazine Tempo, won a gold ADDY for last fall's magazine. Rob Byrd was art director.

Byrd, a senior in art studio, also won a gold ADDY for an ad campaign.

Michael Lally, a senior in art studio from Merritt Island, Fla., won a gold student ADDY for editorial design.

In addition to the students' honors, Coastal's Office of Marketing Communications also won an award of excellence from the Printing Industry of the Carolinas Inc. (PICA) for an invitation to the university's annual gala.

The invitation, designed by art director Rob Wyeth, also won the Special Judges Award for foil stamp design. Wyeth also won a silver ADDY for designing graphics for the CCU law enforcement vehicles in the category of vehicle graphics.

In addition, the 2007 Humanities Gala Invitation was awarded a silver ADDY in the category of Invitations and Announcements.
