Twenty new classes have been added for the second spring semester of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Coastal Carolina University with April and May classes to be held at the Waccamaw Higher Education Center in Litchfield.

Among the offerings are computer courses taught by Carol Rose (Beginning Computer Skills, Vista vs. XP, Googling for Everything, Buying and Selling on eBay and more), art courses with Barnie Slice (watercolor, acrylics, oils and discovery group art), stained glass with Kathy Welde, criminal literature with Jim Pool (Detective Fiction and Media Myth vs. Reality), Starshine Performance Training with JoEllen Langley, Joy of Opera with Rita Martino, and guitar and bass instruction with Doug Fankhauser.

The book, computer, French, gardening and investment clubs will also continue to meet through May.

Each Wednesday and Friday, Lowcountry history and nature excursions depart from the Conway and Waccamaw centers. These are day-long outings led by Robin McCall and Julie Finlayson to interesting destinations throughout the area. Lee Brockington is offering an overnight "upcountry road trip" to Greenville and Clemson May 19-20 to explore the Andrew Wyeth exhibit at the Greenville County Museum of Art, attend a Chautauqua discussion on the Impact of Rosa Parks on Greenville, and visit Fort Hill in Clemson.
