Lifelong Learning courses and excursions continue

Registration continues for the second spring classes of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Coastal Carolina University's Waccamaw Higher Education Center in Litchfield. Numerous computer, art, literature and music courses will meet through May.

Each Wednesday and Friday, Lowcountry history and nature excursions depart from the Conway and Waccamaw centers. Among the day-long outings are trips to Middleton Place in Charleston, Orton Plantation in Wilmington, a Waccamaw River adventure, Bull Island, behind the scenes at the Charleston Museum, Walterboro and the Great Swamp Sanctuary, Camden, Bald Head Island, Southport, Washoe Reserve, Mepkin Abbey and Swan Lake Iris Gardens. Two new additions include a guided tour of the Impressionist exhibit,"Turner to Cezanne," at the Columbia Museum of Art with Robin McCall on May 14 and an overnight road trip to Greenville and Clemson for the Andrew Wyeth exhibit and other cultural events with Lee Brockington (May 19-20).
