Due to the high number of students participating in May commencement, the severe weather location has been changed to Myrtle Beach High School Auditorium (MBHS).

In response to the high demand for seating, additional non-bleacher and standing room only areas have been added for the ceremony at Brooks Stadium as well.

Students who have not yet picked up their allotted tickets are urged to do so as soon as possible. This is the first year tickets are required for both the outdoor ceremony and the severe weather plan.

Any remaining tickets will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis on Friday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Wheelwright Box Office. Student ID cards must be presented for tickets.

Severe weather tickets that list Kimbel Arena as the location will be valid at MBHS.

In the case of rain, commencement exercises will be split into four ceremonies, one for each academic college.

8:30 a.m. – Wall College of Business – student line-up at 7:45 a.m.

Noon – Spadoni College of Education – student line-up at 11:15 a.m.

3:30 p.m. – Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts/Interdisciplinary Studies – student line-up at 2:45 p.m.

7 p.m. – College of Science – student line-up at 6:15 p.m.
