Coastal Carolina University will hold open auditions for the Coastalettes Dance Team, Coastal Glamour Twirlers, Drum Major and Colorguard from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 9.

Auditions will be held in the University’s Myrtle Beach Higher Education Center located at the intersection of 79th Avenue North and U.S. 17 Bypass in Myrtle Beach.

Coastalettes Dance Team and Coastal Glamour Twirlers, part of the Spirit of the Chanticleer Marching Band, are competitive teams of female University students who perform at athletic events, competitions, and campus and community functions.

Students auditioning for the Coastalettes Dance Team will audition in groups of three as well as individually with their own two-minute choreographed routine. For full details, visit www.coastal.edu/spirit/dancers.html.

All auditions are open to students of all majors, including incoming freshmen and transfer students, but closed to the public. Horry-Georgetown Technical College students may also be considered for these auditions.
