The weeklong Magical Wizards Camp, also known as Harry Potter Camp, gets under way the week of June 20-24 at Coastal Carolina University's two outreach locations – Myrtle Beach Education Center and the Waccamaw Higher Education Center in Litchfield.

From 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily, young Potter fans ages 6 to 10 will be casting spells, creating potions and making wizard wands – all the better to enchant you with. On Friday, the last day of camp, children will dress up as their favorite Harry Potter character.

Another fun event is scheduled for Friday, June 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. when the Duct Tape Fashion Show is held at the courtyard of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. The show, a culmination of a children's art camp, is free and open to the public, and the costumes, all made from brightly colored rolls of duct tape, are sure to amaze.
