CCU guitar studio students to perform at annual concert

Students of Coastal Carolina University's guitar studio will perform at a recital on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Edwards Recital Hall. Tickets are $5 for general admission.

Daniel Hull, director of guitar studies at CCU, will direct the performance, featuring pieces by J.S. Bach, Leo Brouwer, Isaac Albeniz, Andrew York, Stepan Rak, Charles Gounod and Francisco Tarrega.

Students performing include Zack Patton, Taylor McGuire, Jeff Cutler, Chris Arluk, Bradley Chestnut, Jack Graham, Kali Hatosy, Liz Kelly and Robert Whiteside.

"Attendees can expect a wide variety of solo guitar pieces spanning several hundred years," says Hull.

Tickets can be purchased at the Wheelwright Auditorium Box Office. Prices are $5 for general admission, $1 for CCU and Horry Georgetown Technical College students, faculty and staff, and children ages 1-10 are free with an adult.

The Edwards Recital Hall is located in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts at 133 Chanticleer Drive W. in Conway.
