CCU co-sponsors small business workshop

Myrtle Beach Area Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are co-sponsoring a free seminar covering federal government contracts for small businesses on Thursday, Sept. 4.

The two-hour seminar will be held for small business owners in the Myrtle Beach area from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in room 222 of CCU's E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration. An afternoon session is also scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Georgetown County Library, 405 Cleland St., Georgetown.

The workshop will cover: the 8(a) program for socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses, service disabled veteran-owned small business, woman owned small business; and historically underutilized business zone.

Other co-sponsors are Myrtle Beach Area SBDC, Georgetown Library and SCORE.
