Music faculty recital to be held at CCU

Coastal Carolina University's Department of Music faculty members will perform a concert on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. General admission is $5.

The program will include a variety of classical and jazz works showcasing different voice and instrument combinations, including songs by Samuel Barber; original compositions by David Bankston; "Mourning Dove Sonnet" by Christopher Deane; "Marriage of the Lamb" by Kevin Bobo; "Cavatine" by Camille Saint-Saens; and the world premiere of "Duetto for Flute and Guitar" by CCU faculty member and composer Andrew Fowler.

Members of the music faculty who will perform are as follows: Jeff Jones, baritone; David Bankston; Jesse Willis, vibraphone; Josh Frans, marimba; Chris Connolly, trombone; Jill Trinka accompanied by Daniel O'Reilly, harmonica; Amy Tully, flute, and Daniel Hull, guitar (the Tully Hull Flute and Guitar Duo); and Rebecca Rollins and Daniel Francis, piano.

The Recital Hall is in room 152 of the Edward Building, located at 133 Chanticleer Drive West on the Conway campus. Parking is available behind the building or adjacent in Brittain Hall. Tickets cost $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens, alumni and faculty/staff and $3 for students.
