Low brass studio recital at CCU

Coastal Carolina University's Department of Music students will perform a concert on Friday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. General admission is $5.

The program will follow the theme of "Heavy Metal," and include works by JT Abrams, Hector Berlioz, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig von Beethoven, Phillip Sparke, Franz Strauss, Edward Gregson, Camille Saint-Saens, Alexander Guilmant and Simon and Garfunkel.

There will be student performances by: Neil Abercrombie, tuba; JT Abrams, euphonium; Nick Ciaston, tuba; Allysha Lazar, trombone; Kyle Moultrie, tuba; Matthew Parris, euphonium; the CCU Trombone Ensemble and the CCU Low Brass Ensemble.

The Recital Hall is in room 152 of the Edwards Building, located at 133 Chanticleer Drive West on the Conway campus. Parking is available behind the building or adjacent in Brittain Hall.

General admission is $5. Senior Citizens, OLLI members, alumni, teens and CCU/HGTC faculty and staff are $4. CCU/ HGTC students and children are $3.
