Due to the winter storm, Coastal Carolina University will resume classes and normal operations at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 25. Employees will report to work at that time.

Shuttle services will begin operation at 7:30 a.m.

Hicks Dining Hall and UP Café will be open as normal at 7 a.m. All other food service venues will open at 9 a.m. or their regularly scheduled hours.

HTC Center/Campus Recreation will have limited operation at 8 a.m. The Student Union and Kimbel Library will open at 9 a.m. Please use caution, as sidewalks will be slippery.

Worksite screening for employees are canceled.

Due to the cancellation of evening classes at Coastal Carolina University all evening events are canceled on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

The following student services will be available:

Hicks Dining Hall will be open until 8 p.m. Starbucks, UP café, UP C-Store and Ingle C-Store will be open until 9 p.m.

CINO Grille will close at 4 p.m.

Student Health Services will close at 4 p.m.

HTC Center/Campus Recreation and the Student Union will be open for normal operating hours. Kimbel Library will be open until 9 p.m.

Shuttles will operate on a normal schedule but may be delayed due to road conditions

Sleet, freezing rain and ice are expected in the campus area today. Please use caution as sidewalks will be slippery, and roadways may be icy.

Liberal leave will be authorized for faculty and staff who are concerned about safe travel.

Faculty are encouraged to reach out to their in-class students with online alternatives, where appropriate.

CCU Emergency Management continues to monitor the possibility of severe winter weather for our area. The CCU Emergency Management Team will assess the situation early Tuesday morning. The status of classes and operations will be posted on the CCU website by 6 a.m. Tuesday. If classes will be delayed or canceled, information will be communicated through a CCU alert, email and on the CCU website.
