Flute studio to perform at CCU

Coastal Carolina University's Department of Music presents a Flute Studio recital on Monday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall (Room 152) of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. General admission is $5.

Under direction of associate professor Amy Hardison Tully, the Flute Studio students will perform a wide variety of standard and modern flute repertoire including works by CPE Bach, Franz Doppler, Robert Dick, Katherine Hoover and more, closing with a performance by the CCU Flute Choir. Students performing include Jennifer Clark, Noelle Mason, Amanda Shanks, Ann Rose, Mark Rose and Hannah Walton. Pianists Rebecca Rollins and Daniel Francis will assist.

Tully teaches flute and conducts the flute choir. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina - Wilmington, a master's degree from Northwestern University, and an artist's diploma and D.M.A. in flute performance from the University of South Carolina. Tully is currently a principal flutist with the Long Bay Symphony in Myrtle Beach and a winner of the National Flute Association's Convention Performers Competition.

The Edwards College located at 133 Chanticleer Drive W. on the Conway campus. Parking is available behind the building or adjacent in Brittain Hall. Tickets cost $5 for adults; $4 for senior citizens, alumni and CCU faculty/staff; and $3 for CCU students.
