Intellectual property sessions slated for small businesses

Two intellectual property seminars will be hosted by the Myrtle Beach Area Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Coastal Carolina University on Tuesday, May 12. Topics covered will include types of intellectual property and how to protect them, as well as business documentation.

McNair Law Firm is co-sponsor of the seminars, which are free and open to the public with registration.

The first seminar will be held at the Waccamaw Library in Pawleys Island, at 41 St. Paul Place, from 10 a.m. until noon. The second seminar will be held at the Georgetown at 405 Cleland St. from 1 to 3 p.m.

Both seminars will be led by Douglas Lineberry, special counsel with McNair Law Firm. He focuses his practice on intellectual property representation including patent, trademark and copyright protection.
