CCU’s Farmer’s Market is Monday, Oct. 19

Coastal Carolina University is hosting a CCU Farmer's Market on Monday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Prince Lawn. The event is open to the public.

            In collaboration with the Waccamaw Market Cooperative, the event features more than 30 local businesses with fresh and locally grown produce, plants, baked goods, handmade jewelry and other eco-friendly products. The farmer's market will also include sustainability information from CCU's LiveWell program, Eco-Rep Leaders, Outdoor Club, Campus Recreation, Students Taking Active Responsibility and other organizations. Cash, checks and debit/credit cards are accepted. Sustain Coastal will be giving away free reusable bags and teal recycling bins on a first-come, first-served basis.

            Prince Lawn is located in the middle of campus in front of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts and the Eldred Prince building. For more information, call 843-349-5041 or email sustain@coastal.edu. Â
