Coastal Carolina University will host the Fall 2016 Community Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lib Jackson Student Union Courtyard. The event allows members of the Grand Strand community to share information about their merchandise and services to CCU students, faculty and staff.

Each semester, approximately 15 businesses and organizations attend and distribute various goods, food and information regarding their operations. While primarily informational, the fair also provides opportunities for community partners and students to make connections that last the student's entire academic career at CCU. The Office of Student Life encourages both for-profit and nonprofit businesses to attend the fair with the goal of showing students that CCU is part of the larger Conway and Grand Strand communities.

"The hope is that they will make connections to businesses and nonprofit organizations throughout the community and will frequent them during their time at Coastal," said Assistant Director of Leadership and Civic Engagement Jessica Combess. "Many local businesses, places of worship, and local nonprofit organizations will be in attendance."
