Edwards College Film Series presents ‘Senn’ movie

"Senn," a 2013 science fiction feature film, will be screened at Coastal Carolina University on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 5 p.m. in the Lib Jackson Student Union's Coastal Theater (Room A-110). Admission is free and open to the public.

"Senn," written, directed and produced by Josh Feldman and Britton Watkins, is about Senn, a lowly line worker on Pyom, a world forgotten by the corporation that owns it. Strange phenomena begin to plague Senn when a mysterious alien intelligence arrives to deliver him to the Polychronom. The Polychronom is an ancient object that has surreptitiously chosen him for a mysterious purpose that could mean his undoing.

Feldman and Watkins are San Francisco-based moviemakers who try to create movies outside of the Hollywood mainstream. Feldman, who directed and photographed "Senn." He has a degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and was a creative director at the industrial design firm Frog-Design for seven years.

Watkins co-wrote and co-produced "Senn," and he also invented the language Sinnyamda which is integral to the film's production design. He also consulted on the 2013 film "Star Trek: Into Darkness." The film is being screened as a part of the Edwards College Film Series, sponsored by the departments of history and languages and intercultural studies.
