The annual Gospel Sing Out concert is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 22, at 4:30 p.m. Wheelwright Auditorium at Coastal Carolina University. This community event features the harmony of CCU's Inspirational Ambassadors and other choirs from the state. Admission to the concert is free, but donations will be accepted for a scholarship fund.

Proceeds from this year's Gospel Sing Out will benefit the Pat Singleton-Young Student Leadership Annual Scholarship, a $250 to $500 award that is given to CCU students participating in on-campus multicultural programs and activities. Pat Singleton-Young began working at CCU in 1979 when Coastal was part of the University of South Carolina system. She is the current director of Multicultural Student Services. During her career, Singleton-Young has touched the lives of hundreds of students by encouraging them to step into leadership roles to enhance their college experience, as well as to prepare them for life after college.
