March 6, 2017

Coastal Carolina University's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will hold an art auction fundraiser on Tuesday, March 14, at 4 p.m. at the Litchfield Education Center. Tickets are $10, and OLLI members are admitted free.

The auction items are works created and donated by OLLI instructors, students and staff. Media include pottery; watercolor, oil and acrylic paintings; wood; and paper. Participating art instructors include Susan Duke, Barnie Slice, Susann Foderaro and Diane Wilgocki.

The event will include hors d'oeuvres, music by the OLLI chamber orchestra and a wine tasting sponsored by OneHope winery, a Napa Valley winery that will donate 50 percent of proceeds from each bottle sold during the auction to the OLLI program.

Art will be displayed from 4 to 6 p.m., and the silent bidding will close at 6.

OLLI@CCU is housed in the Office of Academic and Community Outreach at Coastal Carolina University. OLLI provides opportunities for adult, noncredit students to achieve intellectual stimulation, as well as cultural and social growth. Lifelong Learning courses are designed to meet the needs and interests of mature adults in the local community. Courses are offered during day and evening hours at five convenient locations.
