POP 101 to perform hits of ’70s and ’80s

Coastal Carolina University's contemporary music ensemble POP 101 will perform a concert of hits by the Eagles and Linda Ronstadt on Thursday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Wheelwright Auditorium. General admission for the concert is $7 with discounts available.

The concert, titled "Take It to the Limit" after the popular Eagles song by the same name, showcases Eagles hits from the 1970s and 80's like "Hotel California," "Heartache Tonight" "Life in the Fast Lane" and Linda Ronstadt's "Blue Bayou," "Hurt So Bad," "You're No Good" and more.

Directed by CCU lecturer of music Dan O'Reilly, POP 101 is a dynamic ensemble composed of students who play guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and horns, as well as vocalists.

Tickets for the performance are $7 for the general public. Discounted ticket prices are available for senior citizens, OLLI members, CCU alumni, teenagers, and CCU/HGTC faculty and staff for $5. Tickets for children and CCU/HGTC students are $3.

Wheelwright Auditorium is located at 108 Spadoni Park Circle on the main Conway campus.
