CCU Real Estate Club holds its first public meeting
The meeting, which will be at the General Aviation Terminal of the Myrtle Beach International Airport, is free and open to individuals and businesses interested in investment, residential and commercial real estate.
"The support of these local leaders has been tremendous in getting our first event off the ground and helping us establish a club that will be beneficial to professionals in Horry and Georgetown counties," said Rob Salvino, research economist and associate professor at CCU and associate director of the Grant Center for Real Estate and Economic Development. "The CCU Real Estate Club is open to everyone interested in investment, residential and commercial real estate. While students may attend, this club has been designed to meet the needs of our business community. Speakers will include local and regional leaders along with government officials who will discuss a wide range of pertinent topics," said Salvino.
"We're pleased to announce that E.F. 'Buddy' Hucks will be the keynote speaker for our first meeting. His topic will be 'Return on Investment for the Grand Strand-Demographics and Economic Growth,'" Salvino continued. Hucks is the president of EF Hucks and Associates and is a certified general real estate appraiser.
