Broadway's Next H!T Musical, a theater troupe that performs an improvised, interactive musical comedy of the same name, will appear at Coastal Carolina University on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 4 p.m. in the Edwards Theatre. Tickets are $17, with CCU discounts available.

The five-member cast of improv musicians and comedians creates an unscripted, interactive, theatrical awards show that culminates in a complete, original musical. They develop music and lyrics for new songs based on audience-suggested titles, and audience members vote for their favorite new song in a mock awards show. The cast then transforms the songs into a full-blown musical, complete with characters, dialogue and surprising plot twists.

Broadway's Next H!T Musical has performed recently at the Triad in New York City, the Tribeca Film Festival and the New York Musical Theater Festival.

General admission is $17. Senior citizens, OLLI members, CCU alumni, teens, and CCU/HGTC faculty and staff are $12. Tickets for children and CCU/HGTC students are $5.

The Edwards Theatre is located in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts at 133 Chanticleer Drive W. on the Conway campus.
