CCU Visual Arts faculty to hold triennial exhibit

January 9, 2018
Logan Woodle's bronze sculpture is on display in CCU's Faculty Triennial exhibition in the Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery.

The Faculty Triennial Exhibition will feature the works of 21 members of Coastal Carolina University's Department of Visual Arts opening on Monday, Jan. 15, with a reception with the artists on Thursday, Feb. 15, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The exhibit and reception will take place in the Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts; both are free and open to the public.

The exhibition presents new work by CCU's award-winning faculty in the areas of studio arts and graphic design. The exhibit highlights the diversity of approaches and techniques offered to students enrolled at Coastal Carolina University.

"Many of our professors are regularly exhibited in national and international shows," said Jim Arendt, gallery director and assistant professor of art studio. "Exhibitions that gather together their combined talent for our students and community are one of the benefits our region is able to reap through institutions like Coastal."

The Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery is dedicated to advancing the education of visual arts and cultivating the production, interpretation and enjoyment of objects and images in society.

The gallery is in Room 129 of the Edwards College, located at 133 Chanticleer Drive W. on the main Conway campus. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Parking is available in lots directly adjacent near the back of the Edwards building or in J lot near the Singleton building; see coastal.edu/safety.parking.
