On Sept. 11, 2018, Coastal Carolina University canceled classes in advance of the expected arrival of Hurricane Florence. Classes are now set to resume on Oct. 1. That closure did not equate to an extended vacation for students. CCU officials took numerous measures to keep students engaged and allow for the continuation of learning during the break.
