In the coming weeks, Leigha Peterson will be first person to earn a Ph.D. in the new doctoral program offered within the Department of Coastal and Marine Systems Science at Coastal Carolina University. It will mark the end of an incredible journey for Leigha at CCU, in which she has received her bachelor's degree in marine science and her master's degree in coastal marine and wetland studies. Leigha finishes her time on campus by providing the commencement address for Spring 2019 graduates.
